Our First Field Trip
We are very fortunate to have such a great fire department so close to our school. They have welcomed our preschool to visit them for fire safety demonstrations and of course, to see all the cool trucks! They have even showed up for our end of the year party last year to show off the trucks. Unfortunately this year it was raining on the day we were suppose to walk over for our field trip. We were so thrilled to see Fentress fire trucks drive up and visit us instead of letting us get wet or having to change dates.
The firefighters talked about fire safety and let the children explore the trucks. The kids love playing inside the trucks, especially with the horns and sirens. We think we have some future firefighters among our preschool students.
We are so thankful for the Navy Region Mid-Atlantic Fire and Emergency Services. They are always willing to come for a visit and always have some nice goodie bags for the kids. Even though they have a huge formal name, they are just known to us as Fentress Fire Department to us.

About Us
Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church Preschool is located at 2505 Mt. Pleasant Road in Chesapeake, VA.
Our preschool offers a safe, loving and nurturing environment where our primary goal is to enhance each child's cognitive, social, physical and spiritual development through age appropriate curriculum.
We pride ourselves on having low student to teacher ratio. We feel this allows us to give the children more individual attention and allows our school to be a very close-knit "family" environment.
At Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church Preschool we feel that each child is a Gift from God and we are privileged to be entrusted in teaching and nurturing these precious children to become the unique person he or she was created to be.
Hours of Operation:
Monday - Friday 9:00 AM - 12:30 PM
We have a 3 day program as well as a 5 day program
Rates:
We have a 3 day program and a 5 day program for 3 and 4 year olds
We do offer a discount for families with multiple children.
